During the third quarter of 2021, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on Android in El Salvador showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for the leading apps in this category.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced an upward trend in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 5.1K at the beginning of July and peaking at around 7.3K by the end of September. Weekly active users also saw a steady increase, growing from 95.4K to 108.9K over the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with numbers ranging between 3.5K and 5K. However, weekly active users showed a slight decline from 310.7K at the end of June to 286.9K by the end of September.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw an increase in weekly downloads, starting the quarter at 486 and reaching a high of 1.4K by the end of August. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 8.4K and 9.7K.

Uber Lite had a steady download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 298 to 502. Active users saw a gradual decline from 30.9K to 27.5K over the same period.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a modest download rate, with weekly downloads mostly below 200, peaking at 561 in mid-September. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 3K and ending the quarter at about 3K as well.
